The Methodist Church in Fiji has invited all Fijians to spend some time in reflection and prayer for our country.
As we celebrate the 45th anniversary of our independence, General Secretary Reverend Dr Epineri Vakadewavosa says the church has called on the nation to pray for wisdom and integrity for all our leaders.
Vakadewavosa says the church has also called on the nation to embrace each other as sister and brother Fijians.
The Methodist Church has also called on the people of Fiji to commit to living compassionate.
Vakadewavosa says the Methodist Church in Fiji will commemorate the 180th anniversary of the beginning of Wesleyan Methodist Church mission in Fiji with the arrival of Reverend William Cross and David Cargill at the island of Lakeba.
