Just under $1 million in church levies has been collected by the members of the Methodist Church since June this year.
Secretary of Communications, Reverend James Bhagwan said the money will be used for the operation and running of the church including its Theological College.
Reverend Bhagwan said their members have continued to support the church, even though they have gone through difficulties since 2009.
He said more than $700,000 was raised during the Golden Jubilee celebration last week.
He said half of that amount was donations from their overseas partners while the money collected on the Gifting day will be set aside for an educational trust which will provide scholarships for the development of both clergy and lay leaders.
