Three men charged for their alleged involvement in a robbery in Raiwaqa have been released on $1,000 bail each by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Leone Delai and Marika Vakaotia have been charged with one count of aggravated burglary and 3 counts of theft while Peni Delai has been charged with receiving stolen property.
The three were arrested in Raiwai on Monday after they allegedly took 20,000 Solomon Dollars, laptops and mobile phones belonging to two tertiary school students and a Minister from Solomon Islands on Sunday morning.
Police Prosecutor Corporal Viliame Duguivalu told the court that this is an indictable offence and the accused should be in remanded in custody as some of the stolen items have not been recovered.
Magistrate Waleen George released the accused on strict bail conditions.
Leone Delai and Peni Delai have to report to the Raiwaqa Police Station while Marika Vakaotia has to report to the Nasinu Police Station every last Friday of the month.
A curfew has been imposed on them from 6pm to 6am, they are not to interfere with the witnesses and they are not to re-offend.
The matter has been transferred to the Suva High Court.
It will be recalled on the 10th of next month.
