Some members of the public that have attended various party campaign meetings have started questioning when the official election candidates list with their numbers will be announced.
At a recent campaign meeting in Nadera, a few registered voters enquired about the numbers belonging to the party leaders.
The Elections Office has confirmed that the National Candidates List will be out on the 25th of next month.
According to the Electoral Decree, the Elections Office will draw the numbers with the candidate’s names.
The National Candidates List will then be published in a booklet which will be made available to the people.
These booklets will have the candidates’ names, photos and numbers. There will be no party names or symbols.
The booklets will also be given to the voters when they go to cast their vote on September 17th.
