A former Estate and Trust Officer of the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Limited, Melaia Senimolau has been sentenced to 2 years and 6 months by the Suva Magistrates Court.
FICAC had charged Senimolau with 13 counts of Obtaining a Financial Advantage amounting to $15,116.90 over a two year period.
She pleaded guilty to these counts and admitted to falsely recording the amount of money received as payment on the receipts and pocketing the remaining amount.
A non-parole period of 2 years has been set.
