In a bid to curb the brawls in Suva, a meeting was held between members of the Police Force and the Fiji Islands Security Employers Association at the Totogo Police Station yesterday.
ACP Rusiate Tudravu who chaired the meeting asked members to assist Police in the maintenance of law and order through information and the sharing of resources.
Association President, Vilikesa Raqio supported the call for partnership adding their members are ready to provide assistance to the Fiji Police.
He added collaboration is imperative and a holistic approach is needed by all to maintain law and order in Suva.
Meanwhile ACP Tudravu said the Force is limited in numbers and resources, and recognizing the fact that security companies have employees all over the city would greatly assist in curbing criminal activities within the capital.
