Medical products is one of the six key components of a functioning Health System.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Health Rosy Akbar during the opening of a 4‑day workshop for the Regional Meeting on Quality Assurance and Rational Use of Essential Medicines in the Pacific Island Countries which is currently underway at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi.
Akbar reminded the participants of the very important role they play in the country’s health system and has challenged them to make impactful changes for the benefit of the people of their region.
The workshop is being attended by delegates from thirteen countries from the region and will deliberate on ways to enhance collaboration through the strengthening of the pharmaceutical sector.
