Market Vendors are the ones who suffer the most during cyclones and droughts.
This was highlighted by Miss Ba Market Vendors Association Siowana Vika, one of seven contestants vying for the Miss Ba Riverside Crown.
23-year-old Vika who is also studying to be a Secondary School teacher at Fiji National University says it is very hard for market vendors to start their life again after disaster strikes and she would like to create awareness on this issue.
She has revealed that people can look forward to something different from her during talent night this Friday which will be to inspire and empower single mothers.
Miss Ba Riverside will be crowned on Saturday night at the Ba Market Grounds and prizes for the contestants will be awarded on the same night as well.
The awards include, Miss Photogenic, Miss Charity, Miss Personality, Best Sarong, Best Talent and the Best Research Award.
