People living in Nabouwalu and nearby areas will now be able to access Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji services after a new office was opened in Nabouwalu earlier today.
While opening the office, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said that the establishment of the new office in Nabouwalu is aligned with the commitments Fiji made during the Ocean’s Conference in New York and that is for us to ensure that oceans are safeguarded and developed in a sustainable manner.
He says the new office will strengthen the efforts in protection the of marine environment, will ensure great compliance of our ships including improved safety of sea farers and the travelling public and will have a direct boost in the coordination of maritime travel, trade facilities and sustainable ocean practices in Bua.
