The Marist Old Boys Association has marked a new era in its 80 year history as it opened its new Secretariat.

Located at Honson Street in Flagstaff, the landmark Secretariat was opened earlier this week by Marist Brothers Superior, Brother Kees Van der Weert who said this was a big milestone for the institution.

Marist Old Boys Association President, Opetaia Ravai says that this is a historic moment for all alumni members of Marist Brothers High School and for the first time in 80 years they now have an official home.

He also acknowledged the Marist Brothers for signing an MOU allowing the Marist Old Boys Association to use the property as their Secretariat.

Ravai says that setting up a Secretariat was one of the focal Key Performance Indicators set by the Marist Old Boys Executive Committee when elected a year ago.

He adds that now one of the first alumni bodies in Fiji to have a fully dedicated Secretariat with plans to employ a fulltime staff to look after alumni welfare.
