March held in Suva for upcoming Military Tattoo

A march for the upcoming Military Tattoo was held from the Suva Market to Ratu Sukuna Park this morning.

The march is for the upcoming 100th-year celebration of the Republic of Fiji Military Band which will be celebrated at the ANZ Stadium this Friday.

Committee Chairman Commander Lepani Vaniqi says the RFMF Band, Fiji Police Band and the National Youth Band with local Band, Voqa ni Delai Dokidoki and few other local artists will feature in the program today.

Meanwhile, in tomorrow’s final Rehearsal the RFMF Band will host the children from Dilkusha home, Veilomani Home of Ba and Saint Christopher’s Home.

Commander Vaniqi has also confirmed that the Royal New Zealand Army Airforce Band is in the country and will feature alongside the RFMF Band during Friday’s celebration.

The event is marked to be the biggest band performance in the country.

Vaniqi says that an art exhibition will also be featured at the event and the money raised will be directed to the orphanages around the country.

The tickets are being sold in front of ANZ Bank in Suva and MHCC.

Tickets price are $30 for the grandstand, $25 for the temporary stand, $15 for embankment and $5 for the children under the age of 8 years for the embankment.
