The Fiji Driving School Association says many driving students are finding it hard to adjust to the 90% pass rate requirement for the theory test.
This was highlighted during the Fiji Driving Schools Association Annual General Meeting held in Suva.
President, Deo Narayan says only 20 minutes is given to answer all the questions and this makes it very hard for students as they cannot go back to review previously answered questions.
It was requested to make the theory passing mark for getting a learners permit to be 25 out of 30 and driving test to be 27 out of 30.
The Fiji Driving School’s Association has requested the Land Transport Authority to review the passing mark.
But the Minister for Transport Parveen Bala says that it is illogical to do so as the passing mark can only be increased.
