A 26-year-old man who is charged with unlawful cultivation of drugs will be sentenced on the 31st of January next year.
Isikeli Naqau of Kadavu pleaded guilty to his charge in his first appearance.
The High Court heard that between 1st Oct and 14th December 2015, Naqau unlawfully cultivated 321 plants of marijuana in his farm.
In his mitigation submission, Naqau told the court that he is a first offender and he committed the crime under peer pressure.
He showed remorse for his action.
Justice Salesi Temo told Naqau that he will be given time to spend Christmas and New Year with his family before his sentence, therefore his bail was extended.
