Meli Tamani who is alleged to have robbed City Forex in Suva of $50,253.10 last Thursday has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.
The 26-year-old also allegedly took $18,585.30 in foreign currency from the outlet last Thursday.
It was heard in court he was on bail for other pending cases when he allegedly committed this offence.
Close to $14,000 has been recovered.
Magistrate Waleen George told Tamani that when he was previously given bail, he was told not to re-offend.
Magistrate George asked the prosecutor where were the others that are mentioned in the charge sheet to which the prosecutor said that Police know the names and arrests will be made soon.
Tamani told the Magistrate that this was an alleged inside job.
The case will be called on the 5th of next month in the Suva High Court.
