34-year-old bus driver Sanjay Naidu who allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in November last year has been released on bail by Suva High Court Judge Justice Achala Wengappuli.
Naidu has been released on $1,000 bail bond with two sureties.
The alleged offence took place while the driver was on his last trip and allegedly committed the offence along one of the bus stops along Princes Road last November.
Police had confirmed that the victim had boarded the bus from Nausori and had fallen asleep missing her stop.
The matter will be called again tomorrow.
