Some parents of a prominent primary school in Suva are raising concerns about a violent attack on a dog in the school compound in front of students last Wednesday.
One concerned parent has questioned why the school allegedly allowed a man to enter the school compound and launch an attack on a helpless animal in front students who are being taught to equally love and care for all living creatures.
They say that the a man attacked a dog with a chopper on the school premises.
The school is today rejecting those claims saying it did not allow the man on the school property.
It says the dog had bitten someone and ran into the school property and the owner was looking for it.
The school says the dog was hit by the owner with a thick piece of wood and became unconscious.
The man was a neighbor of the school.
