A man is missing in Qawa River after a collision of two boats.
A 15-year-old student of Cawaira, in Labasa who was operating a boat carrying 7 passengers collided with an oncoming fibreglass boat carrying 4 passengers in Qawa River yesterday afternoon.
The 15-year-old was heading from Cawaira towards Vulovi, and upon reaching the FSC bend, he could not control the speed and collided with the oncoming fibre-glass boat.
Due to the impact of the collision, two passengers sustained injuries and they are admitted at Labasa Hospital.
A man was thrown out of the vessel and is still missing.
Police says a search party will resume the search this morning.
