A 54‑year‑old man who found guilty of 5 counts of theft will be sentenced on 28th of this month.
Taione Batina stole $4,000 worth of joinery tools and machines from the village joinery house in Koio, Wailoku in Tamavua.
The incident happened between 28th July and 29th September 2014.
A village church pastor had noticed the machines missing when he had gone to check on a project.
These machines were given by the government.
The court heard that Batina pawned these tools and machines at different pawn shops in Suva.
Batina pleaded guilty to his charges.
His bail has been extended.
