A father who raped his 14-year-old daughter in Rakiraki last year will spend more than 14 years behind bars.
The man was found guilty of two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The court heard that the incident took place on the 20th of July last year where the man raped his daughter and sexually abused her.
Lautoka High Court Judge Justice Sudharshana De Silva said that the man showed no remorse for his actions and there was a breach of trust between a father and a daughter.
The man has been sentenced to 14 years and six months imprisonment and will not be eligible for parole until he serves 12 years.
