A 49-year-old man convicted of one count of unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs has been sentenced to 2 years and 8 months imprisonment by the High Court Judge Justice Paul Madigan.
The court was informed that Police raided Etuate Dreduadua’s house in the village of Natovotovo, Cakaudrove, on the 6th of January this year after receiving information.
They found seeds and four plants of marijuana at his home.
Dreduadua was not at home and his nephew who was there took the Police to a plantation from where they uprooted 41 plants of marijuana.
He has been given a non-parole period of two years.
