A 33-year old farmer of Rava Estate, Savusavu has drowned while trying to retrieve his fishing gun which drifted a few metres away from where he was diving.
According to Police, the man left for fishing with six others from Vuniwai village in a fibre glass boat.
The man was taken to the Lakeba Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile Police are still searching for a 53-year-old man who is missing at sea since Saturday.
Sashi Krishna of Topline, Lautoka was thrown into the waters while handling the outboard engine as 40-year-old Sami Goundar was anchoring the boat near Vomo Island.
