A man convicted of aggravated robbery has been sentenced to 8 years and one month by the Suva High Court.
Peni Matairavula with two others had robbed a taxi driver of cash and assorted items to the total value of $540, on 1st May 2013 at Nausori.
Justice Vinsent Perera stated that while robbing the taxi driver, Matai-ravula had placed a beer glass to the taxi driver’s neck and had demanded his money and phone.
A non-parole period of six years and one month has been set.
