The Police Internal Unit has directed an investigation to be conducted into claims of delay in investigating and charging a suspect in an assault case.
Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Henry Brown said they are looking into the matter.
This follows a complaint by a 54-year-old senior warrant officer after he was assaulted by a disgruntled man on the 6th of March.
The 54-year-old is questioning why the police have not fully investigated and charged the suspect.
He also alleges that the Police allowed the suspect to verbally abuse him and his wife at the Totogo Police Station.
The warrant officer alleges that a police officer also threatened his wife that she would be arrested.
The man said he has followed the chain of command and chain of communication however he has not received any feedback.
He has now written to the Commissioner of Police.
The warrant officer also said that he has visited Totogo Police Station several times and they keep telling him that the Investigating Officer is busy.
