A man charged with manslaughter has pleaded not guilty to the charge in the Suva High Court.
Josefa Vakanawakoro has been released on bail.
It is alleged that Vakanawakoro intervened during an argument and punched his relative who fell to the ground in Nabua on 2nd October, 2016.
DPP lawyer Sujata Lodhia told the court that Vakanawakoro was first punched by his partner.
High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo has adjourned the case to the 17th of next month.
