A 32-year-old man charged with aggravated robbery has been sentenced to 9 years, 6 months and 10 days imprisonment.
Joseph Christopher stole $3400 cash on November 17th, 2016 in Nabua.
While delivering his sentence, High Court Judge, Justice Chamath Morais says that majority of the assessors had also found Christopher guilty and they had also stated that the evidence provided by the prosecution was truthful and reliable.
Justice Morais says the maximum sentence for aggravated robbery is 20 years.
Christopher has also been given a non parole period of 7 years, 6 months and 20 days.
