A 53-year-old man who allegedly touched the thigh of a 10-year-old girl sitting next to him in a bus along Queen Elizabeth Drive on Saturday, has been remanded by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Sunil Roy is charged with indecent assault.
Magistrate Asanga Bodaragama has ordered that Roy be taken to the Legal Aid Commission for legal advice.
Roy informed the court that he was travelling in a bus and when the driver suddenly hit the brake, Roy’s hand tapped the 10-year-old girl after which her family members beat him up.
The case has been adjourned to the 20th of this month.
