A man alleged in the Suva High Court today that he was assaulted by Police officers at Dokanaisuva last year.
Harry Henderson told Justice Chamath Morais that the police officers allegedly poured hot water on his private parts.
Justice Morais told the accused to make an application to the Human Rights and Anti Discrimination Commission and also seek legal guidance from the legal aid.
Henderson requested for a court order to allow him to file a police complaint and also be taken to the hospital.
The DPP lawyer Taitusi Tuenuku said that the accused has every right to lodge a complaint with Police.
Legal aid lawyer Talei Kean asked if the issue which the accused has raised could be noted in the court records and that she will meet the accused to discuss what steps he can take to raise his concerns.
