A 55-year-old musician alleged to have been found with 22 live ammunition at his home in Domain Road in Suva has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Samuela Waqa applied for bail through his lawyer Iqbal Khan and was granted bail by Magisrate Deepika Prakash.
Waqa was given a $1,000 bail bond with two sureties and has been told to report every Saturday at the Totogo Police Station.
He has surrendered his passport and a stop departure order has also been ordered.
He is charged with a count of unlawful possession of ammunition.
A police raid was conducted at his house on the 9th of this month.
The case has been adjourned to the 25th of April for Waqa’s plea to be taken.
