A man has been taken into Police custody after his alleged involvement in a robbery along Stewart Street in the last hour.
An eye witness told Fijivillage that the man walked into the house of an elderly woman who was hosting a wedding ceremony and robbed her of her jewelries.
The witness says that the man ran up Stewart Street and was captured by two men who were also making their way up the road.
Fijivillage also witnessed the capture and recovery of the stolen jewelry from the man.
Meanwhile, earlier this week on Wednesday an elderly woman also had her necklace taken in a grab and run incident along Waimanu Road.
Two men allegedly snuck up on the woman as she was walking along Waimanu Road in front of Nippons Trading Company and robbed her.
