Making my mother’s dream come true is what drove me to work hard to be awarded the DUX of Kamil College 2017.

These were the words of Firoza Bibi who was awarded the most outstanding student at today’s Prize Giving at Kamil College.

The 18-year-old from Ba is the 2nd youngest of 5 girls and has dedicated her achievement to her family especially to her mum.

Bibi adds that her sister who is living with acute severe asthma is also her inspiration to work hard to venture into pursing a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery at the Fiji National University.

While speaking to students, parents and teachers at the Kamil Muslim College Prize Giving today Minister for Health and Medical Services, Rosy Akbar pointed out that the profound beauty of education is friendship, respect, knowledge and success and are the core entities that people should treasure till the end.

Akbar also stressed that the decisions the students take in the next few decades and the opportunities they would undertake will assist in determining the pace and direction of Fiji in years to come.
