Makare challenges Suva fans to turn up in numbers tonight

“The best crowd so far is in Nadi.”

Those are the words of William Waqanibaravi the leader of the famous Makare band sending out a challenge to the fans in Suva as they prepare to sing at Fiji Showcase tonight.

Waqanibaravi said they will also sing some of their new songs from their new album and the big hits from their first album.

Waqanibaravi who is known as ‘Bigwilz’ said people should get ready for real live entertainment tonight.

The Makare band members include Bigwilz the guitarist, Phil Dakei, Simi Rova and Felix Chaudhry.

Makare will be performing at 7.15 tonight at the external stage of the Vodafone Arena.

Total Event Company Manager Loretta Jackson said that the public will only have to pay their entry fee, which is $4 for adults and $3 for children, to enjoy all the services including the Makare performance, the Cookie the Clown shows, the Fraser Hooper shows and the popular cartoon character parade.

Jackson added that the cartoon characters have major surprises for the public this afternoon.

The FM96 Battle Drop Competition final will also be at 6.30pm at the entertainment stage.

Cookie’s Crazy Comedy Show will be at 7.15pm, the Funny Business Show is at 5.45pm and at 8pm while the cartoon character parade is 7pm.
