The National Security and Defence Review committee has identified major security flaws within some government ministries and departments.
Chairman of the National Security and Defence Review committee Esala Teleni says they found this during their consultations last year.
He says they have identified some ministries which do not have the necessary number of security personnel and security cameras.
Teleni also revealed that some ministries do not have a workable and responsive security system that will be able to deal with both internal and external threats.
He says a challenge for these government ministries is to move away from a colonial based management structure.
Teleni has also confirmed that the National Security and Defence strategy is expected to be ready by May.
The final workshop on the Draft National Security and Defence strategy was held at Novotel in Lami today.
