More than 150 people had an opportunity to raise their concerns with Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar, during the Ministry’s 5th Public Consultations held in Shirley Park, Lautoka.
Major issues raised were the termination or delays for social welfare applications, domestic violence reports, homeless families, children with disability and request for the income generating assistance.
Plans are also underway to have similar consultations in Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Sigatoka next year.
