The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji is yet to determine who was at fault for the oil spill at the Lami foreshore in October last year.
While the investigation has been completed, MSAF says the report is still under review by a technical commitee to see if any penalties will be applied.
MSAF has confirmed that the Oil Spill was contained on site immediately after it was reported and Pacific Energies Ltd had deployed Oil Spill Booms to contain the spill around the Kings Wharf, however excess had made way to some parts of the Lami foreshore.
Serious concerns had been raised by residents living along the Lami foreshore of what seemed to be kerosene like substance along the foreshore.
