There were 0.75% invalid votes at the 2014 general elections, which is the lowest ever in any general elections.
This was revealed by Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem before the Parliamentary Standing Committee.
Saneem says 84.6% of Fiji’s total of 591,105 registered voters voted in the last election.
Saneem added that the 2014 general elections was significant in Fiji as first time voters chose one candidate under the open list proportional representation system.
