‘This reminds us that we are not little Fiji.’
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama made this comment at the Special Fiji 7s Gold Medal win celebration at the ANZ Stadium.
Bainimarama says we have big ambitions as a nation and we intend to transform ourselves.
He says 46 years after independence, Fiji is finally showing the promise as the nation that most of us of a certain age always knew was there.
Bainimarama says that not only have we put the wasted years behind us but also the years of division and arguments.
Bainimarama says all around us is the evidence that Fiji is finally on the move as one nation and people to make Fiji great.
He says we are already attracting a record number of international visitors with increasing prosperity to improve the lives of those amongst us who are less fortunate.
