The Legal Aid Commission says its offices are open for anyone who wants their documents witnessed.
This follows concerns raised by some members of the public in the Western Division that Justice of Peace are always too busy with work commitments to attend to those who request for document witnessing.
Legal Aid Commission Board Secretary Shahin Rafique Ali says they do not only provide free legal services, but they also offer services by witnessing documents such as certified true copies of academic transcripts, birth certificates and statutory declarations.
Ali says they do not witness commercial documents.
He adds people can always go to any Legal offices around the country and their documents will be witnessed.
Ali says their offices in Suva, Navua, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Korovou, Nausori, and Nasinu.
He adds their offices are also open for these services in Labasa and Savusavu.
