Leadership Fiji in partnership with the New Zealand High Commission today handed over a tractor and plough worth $39,800 to Monfort Boys Town.
Principal, Brother Jim Madavana says this is a blessing for them as he received the keys from the New Zealand High Commissioner Jonathan Curr.
The Leadership Fiji Community Fund had collected a little under $40,000 with the New Zealand High Commission donated $9,800.
Madavana says over the years, they have over cropped their land and they were in need for a tractor and a plough.
New Zealand High Commissioner, Jonathan Curr says he was very impressed with the work done at Montfort Boys Town and also the determination of the young men there which is why it was an easy decision to support them.
Leadership Fiji Chairman, William Parkinson says this is the first project for the Leadership Fiji Community Fund and the alumni will be in charge of the fund, will carry out more projects and further their contribution to Fiji.
