The Independent Legal Services Commission has charged lawyer, Aseri Vakaloloma with four counts of professional misconduct.
Vakaloloma appeared before Judge Justice Thomas Hickie in a two day hearing.
It is alleged that Vakaloloma’s practicing certificate had expired on 28th February last year however he did not apply for a renewal in time and had attended to cases without a valid practicing licence.
Vakaloloma’s lawyer, Barbara Malimali and the lawyer from the Legal Practitioner’s Unit, Tui Kilakila are making written submissions on the evidence of the case.
The matter has been adjourned to 4th June for mention.
