Lalabalavu and Kepa reaffirm political commitment and support for each other

Social Democratic Liberal Party President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa have reaffirmed their political commitment and support for each other.

In a joint statement, Ratu Naiqama and Ro Teimumu say that there has been comment, speculation and anonymous allegations about the SODELPA leadership and much of this is based on propaganda or brought by those motivated to misinterpret and create division within SODELPA for their own ends however Ratu Naiqama and Ro Teimumu say they will not succeed.

They assure all SODELPA members and supporters that they are firm in their joint resolve to take SODELPA forward as a united and progressive political party committed to exposing the truth of what is happening in Fiji.

The statement also states that Ratu Naiqama and Ro Teimumu have dual roles to play with their respective responsibilities as heads of their confederacies as well as their political obligations as Party President and Party Leader.

Meanwhile, amendments to the party constitution will the main discussion at the SODELPA Special General Meeting in Suva this Saturday.

General Secretary Pio Tabaiwalu says he cannot comment on the amendments as he does not have the full details.

SODELPA President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is currently in a meeting.

The SODELPA Special General Meeting will be held at the Epworth Hall.
