People visiting Labasa town daily will have an easier gaze of the time as a new digital clock will be placed in front on the Labasa market soon.
Northen Festival Committee Spokesperson, Vincent Sahayam says they are waiting for the Labasa Town Council to set up a pole in front of the market which the $6,000 digital clock will be mounted on.
Sahayam says they are also having discussions with the Savusavu Town Council to put up a Digital clock in the town.
He adds that they want to give the town a more modern look since a lot of development is happening in the North.
He mentions that as the committee prepares for this years festival they are nearing the completion of other projects as well.
Sahayam says that the renovation in the Cardiac Department is near completion and they have already bought a heart machine for the department.
He adds that once the department is ready, a team of experts from US will visit the Labasa Hospital to set up the machine.
He stresses that doctors will be trained for the operation of the machine.
According to the committee this project costs $150,000.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North 2016 begins on the 20th of next month.
