The Land Transport Authority is expected to comment later on the statement made by the Fiji Labour Party regarding the review of the LTA operations.
In a statement, the Fiji Labour Party has revealed that this includes a review of all fees and charges as they have received many complaints from the drivers.
FLP has also revealed that they will scrap the unpopular road user levy and will remove the defect notice fine of $14.50.
Leader Mahendra Chaudhry confirmed that Labour will also increase the speed limit to ensure a better traffic flow without endangering road safety.
The party said in its manifesto which is being released in parts that they will rationalize the issuing of taxi permits as they believe the permits are being issued unfairly.
FLP has claimed that some big companies or individuals own over 100 permits and use these to engage contract drivers on unfair terms.
FLP also said that the frequency of vehicle inspection checks will be reduced so that motorists are not harassed on a daily basis.
