Minister of Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is currently visiting police stations in the Western Division to brief officers and to look at issues affecting the work of police officers in the West.
Kubuabola spoke to the officers in the west on the importance of resources that are given by government to the Fiji Police Force to be effectively utilised when they are needed.
He was also briefed by officers on the operations that will be carried out during the school holidays in the coming week as children will be at various locations during the holidays.
Kubuabola thanked the police officers in the Western Division on the good work being carried out and has also spoken to them on preparations towards the general elections next year.
Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is expected to be at Vatukoula Police Station in the next hour.
