‘I am what I am today because of my teachers.’
This is the comment made by Minister for Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Koya while handing over school stationaries to the children of Dilkusha Home in Nausori.
Koya says as students return to school today, teachers are reminded that they play a vital role when children are left under their care for eight hours a day.
Koya says teachers are not only responsible for the children’s academic credibility but also make the children a better and responsible citizen.
Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary for Industry and Trade, Shaheen Ali says the donation is worth $5,000 and they will continue with such work.
Dilkusha Home currently provides shelter to thirty one girls and four boys.
