Korean national questioned by Boarder Police Unit

A Korean national is currently being questioned by the Border Police Unit in Nadi after he was caught carrying a large amount of foreign currency.

It is alleged that the Korean national failed to declare the foreign currencies of 130 Australian Dollars and 9,030 US Dollars at Nadi airport yesterday.

Police say the tourist was searched by border officials and the discovery was made during the search.

He was expected to leave the country for Tonga however his luggage was off loaded from the Tongan flight and escorted out for further questioning.
