The Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, Naipote Katonitabua will now act as Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s office.
This follows the resignation of the Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Pio Tikoduadua earlier this week.
According to a government statement, Tikoduadua was instrumental in overseeing projects implemented under the Prime Minister’s Office including the Office of the Strategic Framework for Change and the Poverty Monitoring Unit.
Tikoduadua is expected to contest under the FijiFirst banner in the 17th September general elections.
