The performance of the Vodafone Fiji 7s team forwards is expected to be boosted with the return of Isake Katonibau and Jasa Veremalua for the Hong Kong and Singapore 7s tournaments.
Known as the mecca of 7s, the Hong Kong leg is considered the premier tournament on the World Rugby Sevens Series calendar.
Fiji returns as defending champions and coach, Gareth Baber has selected the best team for the task ahead.
Baber says he knows and understands what the Hong Kong 7s means to Fiji and the Fijian people and he has selected a team that he believes will be able to compete with the other top teams.
Making a return to the team are Jasa Veremalua and Isake Katonibau.
Baber is confident that their presence will boost and give confidence to our younger players like Mesulame Kunavula, Setareki Bituniyata and Kalione Nasoko.
Players like Katonibau and Veremalua are also expected to assist captain, Osea Kolinisau as Baber also continues to develop a leadership core in the team.
Samisoni Viriviri and Masivesi Dakuwaqa did not make the team.
They were not picked because they have to deal with some issues.
