Various issues affecting the people of Kadavu are currently being discussed at the Kadavu Provincial Council Meeting in Suva.
Chairman of the Kadavu Provincial Council Seci Nawalowalo said this is a good time for them to discuss important issues.
Nawalowalo gave an example of the tar sealed roads which only runs 71km and was constructed almost 50 years ago.
He said work has started on the tar sealing of other roads.
Nawalowalo said with some government representatives also present at the meeting, they would be able to raise these issues with them.
He also said other developments have been done on the island which has benefitted them.
While opening the meeting this morning, Fiji Water CEO Rokoseru Nabalarua declared that Kadavu be an organic island.
Nabalarua said this will help in keeping the land healthy.
