Suva High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo has given the prosecution counsel more time to obtain the documents in the case of a 41-year-old man who is charged with rape and assault with intent to commit rape.
The prosecution has sought more time from the court to look for missing station diary and cell books and therefore informed the court that the investigation officers are trying to locate these two documents.
The bench warrant that was against Ravula Navesi has been cancelled.
It is alleged that on 28th January Navula assaulted a 14-year-old boy with intent to rape him. He allegedly raped the boy on the same day.
The case will be called again on 22nd September to check on the documents.
