High Court Judge, Justice Achala Wengapulli has today further extended the interim restraining orders against Feroz Jan Mohammed and his company T F Jan Limited till the 29th of next month.
FICAC had earlier filed action against Feroz Jan Mohammed and T F Jan Limited under the Proceeds of Crimes Act.
FICAC’s senior counsel, Rashmi Aslam told the court that there may be other interested parties who may be associated with T F Jan Limited.
Aslam asked for 28 days to provide notices to all interested parties.
Feroz Jan’s counsel also made an application for Jan to contact his solicitor in Ba through telephone which was allowed.
Feroz Jan was convicted and sentenced in the Suva High Court last year for Bribery and Obtaining Financial Advantage charges.
It was alleged that T F Jan Limited fraudulently obtained over $3.1 million from Fiji Roads Authority.
FICAC filed this action under the Proceeds of Crimes Act for the forfeiture of property obtained by T F Jan Limited using $3.1 million of proceeds.
The matter will be called again on the 26th of next month.
